The latest Digimon movie is divided into two parts: "Digimon Hurricane Touchdown!" and "Supreme Evolution! The Golden Digimentals!". This movie takes place somewhere between episodes 11 and 14 of Digimon: Zero Two. The setting of this movie is New York City, and the Digidestined must travel there to stop a new enemy. This movie introduces a new Digidestined, Wallace, along with his good Rookie Digimon, Terriermon, Japanese name being Teriamon. The enemy of this movie is Wallace's other Digimon, who's In-Training form is Chocomon. Fox Kids has added Wallace, Chocomon and Gumimon(Terriermon's In-Training form) into the first part of the Digimon Movie(the Japanese 2nd movie) to tie the two movies together. During the battle with Diablormon, Chocomon was accidently sucked into the Internet, and became trapped there. Chocomon grew up very confused, because the Internet is a scary place. Chocomon digivolved to Lopmon, and then to his Champion form, Wendimon, a beast-like Digimon with the ability to seal its enemies in another dimension. Wendimon manages to return to the real world, and captures all the old Digidestined(excluding TK and Kari) and locks them away in another dimension, an ill-fated attempt to find Wallace. Wendimon is able to digivolve to its Ultimate form, Antiramon, and then to its Mega form, Kerubimon,making it a very difficult enemy to beat since Tai and Matt(the only Digidestined children who's Digimon can achieve Mega) are trapped in the other dimension. Kerubimon easily beat MagnaAngemon and Nefertimon working together, but they managed to reach their Mega forms, MagnaDramon and Seraphimon, and defeated Kerubimon. Aiding MagnaDramon and Seraphimon were 2 new Armor Digimon, Magnamon and Rapidmon. Magnamon and Rapidmon are special Armor Digimon. They digivolve using the Golden Digimentals, special Digimentals that are much more powerful than the regular Digimentals. Veemon uses the Digimental of Miracles to digivolve to Magnamon, and Terriermon uses the Digimental of Fate to digivolve to Rapidmon. After Kerubimon was defeated, the original Digidestined were freed from the other dimension. Wallace 
Wallace is the new Digidestined to add to the group. He appears only in this movie. I am still unsure why Wallace is a Digidestined(witnessed a Digimon battle, saw a Digimon, etc) but I'm sure that info will show up soon. Wallace lives in New York City, but speaks Japanese as well as English. Apparently he had a girlfriend in Japan, and studied hard so he could actually talk with her. Wallace has twin In-Training Digimon, Chocomon and Gumimon. Gumimon's Rookie form is named Terriermon(see below) and Chocomon's Rookie form is named Lopmon, though it never appears in the movie. Teriamon also has a Champion form, Garugomon, as well as an Armor form using one of the Golden Digimentals, Rapidmon. Terriermon Terriermon is Wallace's Rookie Digimon. Terriermon may appear to be just a cute(though rather odd colored) bunny, but this little guy packs quite a punch. Terriermon can fly by flapping its floppy ears, and is able to shoot energy balls at its enemies. Wendigomon Wendigomon is the enemy of this movie. It is a Champion Digimon, and has the unusual ability to seal its enemies away in another dimension. Wendigomon does this to all the original Digidestined(excluding T.K. and Kari). Even stranger, while in the other dimension, the occupants actually become younger! Why this is so is still unknown. Wendigomon can also travel large distances on Earth by simply slipping into the other dimension and shifting back. Wendigomon is able to digivolve up to its Mega form, Kerpymon, making it extremely difficult to defeat. Magnamon As previously stated, the 3rd Digimon Movie introduces the Golden Digimentals. One of them, the one Davis is holding in the poster for the movie, is the Golden Digimental meant to be used by Veemon. It is still unknown how the Golden Digimentals work, but apparently they work somehow, because with the Golden Digimental, Veemon digivolved to Magnamon. Magnamon is much stronger than Lighdramon or Fladramon, and wears golden armor over most of its body. Magnamon looks a lot Fladramon(as seen in the second picture) except that he's a little bit taller, and of course the obvious differences in their armors. Hopefully Magnamon will be showing up the anime as well, because it kind of stinks to bring in the Golden Digimentals and Magnamon and everything, and then never use them again. |
